JCrew's website crash

How do you prepare for the online rush after a celebrity chooses you product? Is it better to let the website crash...and have the press talk about it so more people want to visit it OR avoid the crash at all cost to have visitors experience your brand & possibly buy products? I would go for the latter one...

JCrew didn't seem to be prepared after their brand was chosen by the Obama's girls (or is that their mother?) for the Inauguration, according to the NYTimes Blog (click here for the whole article). Seem JCrew might have lost an opportunity to maximize $$$ that day...
