R&D budgets moving to emerging markets

As Booz & co's study entitled Beyond Borders : The Global Innovation 1000 reports, as emerging markets develop, so does their attractiveness to foreign companies, which pushes them to "understand these markets and develop products locally, if they hope to remain competitive with other global competitors as well as with increasing sophisticated local players".
