The Economist markets directly to customers

I ordered business books from Amazon (in the U.S.) and got this leaflet from The Economist (British magazine) in the package delived to my home (in France). Their slogan "In the global village, read the local paper" could hardly be better! ;)

To increase business, The Economist takes advantage of partnerships. The thinking goes "your clients could also be my clients" (in this case readers, what a great targeting!). Noticed that the website is as to count each person coming from their amazon marketing program.
