The CEOs of some of the biggest companies, have through the "CEO Report" which is published annually by the NYSE magazine, expressed their thoughts on many topic, including one which interest us in particular: sales growth!
According to them, the internal factors which will more likely impact revenues are strenght of brand (3rd), new product developpement (4th), strategic partnership (5th), customer loyalty (6th), sales distribution channels (7th), price flexibility (9th) and advertising/marketing initiatives (11th).
Those answers are like coming out straight from one of my marketing books. The importance of brands in business is underlined in those answers but as a business executive you should not forget the other factors stated in that report - and ask yourself what could I do in each to increase my sales?
